Safehands Recruitment is currently assisting a very prestigious client in Leeds to recruit an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager to help with the daily running of their care home alongside the Registered Manager and will lead the home in their absence. This is a full time permanent position that entails 40 hours per week, offering £13.00 per hour (£24,960.00) with care home rounds in Gomersal, Cleckheaton, Birstall and Dewsbury.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to the care team and oversee care planning, provision, and evaluation.
Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
Develop and lead care staff, providing direct and indirect supervision.
Manage the clinical environment, demonstrating strong clinical leadership.
Uphold service users’ dignity and individuality.
Maintain a secure environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
Ensure compliance with Health and Social Care Act 2008 regulations and Care Quality Commission standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
Working in partnership with both Local authority and regulators.
Providing information, advice and support to residents, families and staff and external agencies i.e. GP’s and District nurses.
Promote residents’ rights and duties and encourage them to join activities.
Help residents to access local services and take part in the local community.
Monitor business performance and quality of care.
Ensure that all staff are aware of the most current policies and practices.
Recruit, train and supervise staff.
Provide support and professional supervision to care staff.
Ensure effective communication with relatives and other healthcare professionals i.e. GPs and district nurses.
Ensure confidentiality at all times regarding all aspects of care and management of the home.
Qualification:
NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care
Special Mandatory Requirements:
Compliance with Health and Social Care Act 2008 regulations.
Immediate reporting of safeguarding concerns.
Implementation of health and safety policies.
Infection prevention and control compliance.
Maintenance of mandatory vaccinations.
Attendance of mandatory training.

Job Details:
40 hours per week
Relocation or reliable commuting to Gomersal, Cleckheaton, Birstall and Dewsbury.
Experience:
1 year of domiciliary care experience preferred.
Licence/Certification:
Full Driving Licence and vehicle preferred.
